John Wayne Morris, 22, of 185 Chestnut Street; Rumsey, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. John Wayne Morris was born Jan. 7, 1993 in Owensboro, Ky., to Steven Wayne and Vonda Jean Love Morris.
He adored his Louisiana Catahoula dog, Blue, who was his constant companion. The heart of John Wayne was one whose energy was contagious, one who’s life and smile always brought joy to others.
Survivors include his mother, Vonda Morris, of Rumsey; his father, Steve Morris, of Owensboro; three brothers, Christopher Cook of Rumsey, Jeffrey Sowders and wife, Stacy, of Hartford, and Jamie Sowders and wife, Christa, of Owensboro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with John’s family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
