Shane Seabolt, 24, of Covington, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Newton Medical Center in Georgia. He was born on Aug. 16, 1990, in Conyers, Ga., and grew up in Covington.

Shane was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and loved to be on the water both skiing and fishing. He loved to tailgate and was known as the “Grill Master.” Shane loved to be outside and go mud bogging with his friends. He enjoyed doing Civil War reenactments and he was about to attend College at Southern Cresent as a diesel mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Sammy Hester and paternal grandfather R.L. Seabolt.

Shane is survived by his mother Debb Seabolt, of Covington, Ga.; his father, Bob and his wife, Shanne Miller Seabolt, of Walnut Grove, Ga., formerly of Hartford, Ky.; his grandmothers, Karlean Hester and Viola Seabolt; one sister, Savannah Lickteig; and two brothers, Travis Seabolt and John Robert Lickteig. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3  p.m. EST on Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, in Covington, Ga., with Pastor Danny Crowe officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. EST on Sunday at the funeral home.
