Yvonne ‘Lopaze’ Embry

YvonneEmbryYvonne “Lopaze” Embry, 50, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Owensboro, passed away into the loving arms of God on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital surrounded by her daughters. She was born on Oct. 21, 1964, to the late Brenda Bidwell.

She was a former employee of Perdue Farms, Inc. in Cromwell. Including her mother she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Annie, and several aunts and uncles.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She loved attending church and participating in events when she was able. Yvonne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, reading and studying her Bible. During her last few months, she strived to complete Afghans for each of her children and grandchildren. She lived life for her children and grandchildren whom she loved more than anything in the world.

She is survived by her three daughters, Alexis (Chris) French, of Murfreesboro, Angela (Brad) Coffman, of Beaver Dam, and Amber Smith, of Louisville; six grandchildren, Xavier, Maquenzie, Donavan, Dylan, Khloe, and Jace; five sisters, Charlotte Johnson, Debra (Carl) Villines, Donna Sadler (Kenny Guenther), Martisa DuPont, Jessica Ivey, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Pastor Cleatus Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
