Thomas T. ‘Tom’ Hoskins

Thomas T. “Tom” Hoskins, 74, of Centertown, Ky., passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. He was born on April 29, 1940, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Robert E. Hoskins and Oakie Pearl Abner Hoskins.

Mr. Hoskins retired from Peabody Coal Company and was a member of UMWA. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church and served in United States Air Force as an Air Patrolman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Melvin Hoskins.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Hoskins, of Centertown; two sons, Nathan Hoskins (Bradley Buchanan), of Lexington, Ky., and Harold Kerr (Randall Worzalla of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one daughter, Vickie (Jerry) Noble, of Vine Grove, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brandy, Brandon, Derrick, Kayla and Jennifer; one brother, Jerry Hoskins; and five sisters, Flossie Corley, Hazel Cook, Helen Romanello, Rena Dixon and Patricia Sanderfur.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. George Darnell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Walton Creek Cemetery in Centertown, Ky., with Military Honors by Wesley C. Phelps Honor Guard, Ohio County, Ky.
