Norman Ray Mattingly, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Fordsville, Ky., on July 9, 1929, to the late Mervel Mattingly and Lou Dell Magan Mattingly.
He retired from K & W Equipment where he worked as a parts Manager.
He was a Mason member and co-owner of Ford Dealership in Lewisport, Ky., he also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He enjoyed NASCAR and show cars.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Joyce Wells, and numerous cousin and friends.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
