Nancy Carol Hamilton, 79, of Corydon, formerly of Reynolds Station and Highland, Ind., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at home. She was born in Ohio County.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Ellis Hamilton; her parents, Cleo and Alice Wilson; a brother, Tom Wilson; and a sister, Joan Hamilton.
Survivors include her son, Gary Ellis Hamilton (Linda), of Clay; daughter, Judith Carol (Ric) Holtz, of Merrillville, Ind.; five grandchildren, Kristi Phillps, Todd Hamilton, Carole Lambersie, Rick Holtz and Corey Holtz; 11 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Helen Newton, Bonnie Faulkner, Brenda Felton, Sandy Fuqua and Jimmie McGrew.
Nancy and Ellis moved to northwest Indiana where they lived many years and moved back to Kentucky to be close to family after retirement. They were both active in church and loved their family. She enjoyed the Fordsville Homemakers and the Red Hats. She loved to read and enjoyed working in the library at church. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pattiville. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
