Barbara Ann Johnson, 72, of Big Clifty, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born on Feb. 24, 1942, in Ohio County, the daughter of the late William Henry and Leora (Hayes) Duncan.
She was a member of the American Legion in Leitchfield. Barbara and her husband, Gerald, loved to play bingo. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Wayne Johnson, of Big Clifty; two sons, Carl Mickeal Webb (Annette), of Chicago, Ill., and Ronald Wayne Webb, of Kentucky; two daughters, Paula Lyn Webb and Eva Dowdy, both of Texas; one brother, Bedford Duncan, of Tennessee; eight sisters, Hattie Duggins, of Falls of Rough, Stella Nies, of Indiana, Jewell Saracco, of Kentucky, Shirley Davis, of Kentucky, Betty Boggess, of Illinois, Dorothy Campbell, of Tennessee, Opal Hayes, of Kentucky, and Mary Helen Allgaeuer, of Kentucky; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by one son, Alva Lee Webb; five brothers, Michael, Hubert, Orville, Arvin and Russell Duncan and two sisters, Lucy Duncan and Martha Hayes.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday after 2 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Michael Courtwright will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
