Ronnie Bishop, 74, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab. He was born April 6, 1940, in Hazel Park, Mich., to the late James and Norma Churchill Bishop. He was a member of Echols General Baptist Church and a retired machinist.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Givens Bishop who passed away, Jan. 12, 2008.
Survivors include four sons, Jimmy (Janice) Bishop, of Hartford, John (Alisha) Bishop, Patrick Givens, both of Echols, Mark Edward (Cheryl) Givens, of Rockport, Ky.; and one daughter, Elizabeth “Paddle” (Danny) Cook, of Echols. Ronnie was blessed with nine grandchildren, Jessica Bishop, Amber Bishop, Tyler Bishop, Brittany Bishop, Danielle Smith, Kristi Reed, Chris Givens, Ben Givens, and Dillian Givens, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at William L. Danks Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery in Echols. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
