William Thomas Stevens, 93, of Beaver Dam, Ky., formerly of Owensboro, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Ky. He was born on Aug. 23, 1921, in Utica, Ky., to the late Marvin Ellis Stevens and Hallie Pearl Salmon Stevens.
Mr. Stevens was a farmer, member of Utica Baptist Church and VFW Owensboro Post 696. He served as a U.S. Army CPT during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Dame Stevens, on March 2, 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jo Stevens White (John), of Olaton, Ky., and one granddaughter, April Coble (Jeremy), of Horse Branch, Ky.
A private entombment will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery in Owensboro, Ky. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., has been entrusted with arrangements.
