
He was retired after 38 years from W.R. Grace and Hampshire Chemical Company and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Philpot.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Gola Kirk; a son-in-law, David Kenyon; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Midkiff.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Kirk, of Philpot; a son, Aaron Kirk, of Philpot; three daughters, Julia Kirk, of Johnson City, Tenn., Rosemary Kenyon, of Brentwood, Tenn., and Amy Kirk and husband, William Goodlet, Jr., of Louisville; two grandchildren, Nate Kenyon and Carter Kenyon, both of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Marilyn Midkiff, of Fordsville; and two nieces, Sherry Johnson, of Reynolds Station, and Kathy Haynes of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and after 12-noon Sunday at the funeral home.
