
He was retired from General Electric where he worked for 33 years, he worked at Big Rivers, he was a Charter Member of Kentucky Gun Collectors Association, a lifetime member of NRA, and a member of several antique gun collectors associations, he served in the U. S. Navy.
Ben was co-owner of Emory Center Pharmacy with his son-in-law Bill Sewell and many people knew him as “Ben the delivery guy”.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Ruth Robinson Johnson; two sons, Mark Johnson, of Tell City, Ind., and Ben Johnson, III; one daughter, Nancy(Bill) Sewell, of Utica; one sister, Ann Johnson (Ron) Ambrose, of Utica; grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Jason Johnson, Robin Sewell, Travis Sewell, Heather Kemp, Ben Johnson, IV, Angela Reeves and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford with Bro. Kimbrough Simmons officiating. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
