Ruth Ann Renfrow, 71, of Evansville, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at Pine Haven Health and Rehab in Evansville. She was born Sept. 27, 1943, in Beaver Dam, Ky., to the late Elvis and Eva Baize Nelson.
She was a homemaker.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby W. Renfrow, who passed away Nov. 17, 1994.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Ta, of Clarksville, Ind., and Genny Renfrow, of Evansville; five brothers, Archie Nelson, of Beaver Dam, Bud Nelson and Bob Nelson, of Boonville, Ind., Bill Nelson, of Hood River, Ore., and David Nelson, of Warner Robins, Ga.; three sisters, Mildred Estep, of Tennesee, Virginia Stewart, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Embry, of Boonville, Ind. Ruth was blessed with four grandchildren, Shannon Ta, Helena Lu, Thanh Junior Ta, and Christopher Ta and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Tom Hubacheck officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
