Theresa “Pat” Hicks Allen, 84, of Owensboro, formerly of Springlane Drive, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Henderson County to the late Arch O. and Mary Virginia Haynes Hicks.
Pat had worked as a counter clerk at Harold’s Cleaners, was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the John Z. Pearl Amvets Post 119.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis T. Allen, and sisters, Marianna “Polly” Buckles and Sierra Hicks.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary L. Compton (Gary), of Henderson, Jean Frames (Kenny), of Hartford; and Donna Craig Nolan, of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jeff, Adam, Natalie, Troy, Tracy, Chris, Kim, Darin, Brandi and Dustin; 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Archie Hicks and Otis Hicks (Susan), both of Owensboro, and Calvin Hicks (Sue), of Piedmont, Ala.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Troy, Tracy, Adam, Chris, Darin, Dustin, Jeff and friend Lee Gardener.
