Dottie D. Rives Jones, 76, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Dottie was born June 13, 1938, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Raymond and Lorine Ewing Rives.
She was a member of Green River Missionary Baptist Church, Butler County Homemakers and retired from Humana Health Services.
Dottie D. Rives Jones is survived by her son, Bradford Jones and wife, Lora, of Maryland; one granddaughter, Autumn Jones, of Maryland; one sister, Shirley Annis and husband, Gregory, of Hartford Ky.; one brother, Chester H. Rives and wife, Arlene, of Attica, Mich.; two nephews, Dion and Jason Cardwell, both of Morgantown, Ky., and one great-niece, Jerrica Cockrell, of Morgantown, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at the Green River Missionary Baptist Church Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Kelley Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Green River Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. at the Green River Missionary Baptist Church.
