LoisMillerAnna Lois Miller, 82, of Owensboro, Ky., passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Vicki Sadler of Winchester, Ky., with whom she had made her home since January, 2014. She had been a lifelong resident of Daviess County. She was born Oct. 19, 1931, to the late W.N. and Anna Reid Unsel.

Lois had been a faithful member of the Owensboro Church of Christ for 62 years. Her favorite pastime was cooking, no matter the size of the crowd. She loved planning and preparing food for her Senior group at church, Wednesday night suppers, wedding receptions, numerous functions throughout the community and her first love, her family get-togethers. She was retired from Wyndall’s Farm Store and Western Wear after many years of service.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Miller in 1965; her son, Keith Miller in 1984; a granddaughter, Megan Miller in 2006; and a brother, William A. Unsel in 1992.

Surviving Lois is her sister, Bonnie Unsel, with whom she lovingly made her home and cared for over 20 years. Together, they enjoyed many Special Olympic practices and sporting events. For years, they could be found having breakfast and shopping at the Cracker Barrel on Friday mornings.Also surviving, besides her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Vicki Sadler, are a daughter, Sally Potts; a son, Tim Miller (Mischelle); and a daughter, Lisa Gerteisen (Sam) all of Owensboro; daughter-in-law, Shelley McCarthy of Olaton, Ky.; brother-in-law, Jerry Miller (June) of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Barbara Vincent (Harold) of Owensboro; sister-in-law, Bernice Miller of Huntingburg, Ind.; sister-in-law, Jane Reinhart (Bob) of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.Memorial services are 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
