Billy Herman Decker, 78, of Rockport, Ky., passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born March 29, 1936, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Phillip Harvey and Hazel Sailings Decker.
He worked for Smith Brothers Lumber in Hartford.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Harvey Decker; two sisters, Nell Decker and Eunice Faye Baker and his granddaughter, Latasha Nicole Decker.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jewell Whitler Decker of Rockport; two sons, Marty Decker of Rockport and James E. (Tonya) Decker of Cromwell; three daughters, Hazel (Eddie) Douglas of Central City, Tammy (Timmy) Segers of Nelson Creek and Deborah Ralph of Central City; two brothers, Phillip Decker of Louisville and Jackie Decker of Alabama, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Ralph Merrow officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery in Echols. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
