Arvin Cecil Huff, 63, of Livermore, Ky., passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at his residence. He was born Dec. 2, 1950, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Orville Huff and Gradie Mae Neighbors Huff.
Mr. Huff retired from Smith Brothers Lumber Company and farmed for Jerry Smith. He was a member of Livermore Baptist Church, former Constable of Cloverport, Ky., and a volunteer fireman in Beaver Dam and Cloverport.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Huff, in 1970 and one son, Jonathan David Huff, in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Phelps Huff of Livermore; two sons, James Burden of Livermore and Manuel Young of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; four daughters, Starla Sosh of Cannelton, Ind., Amanda Sapp of Greenville, Chrissetta Vanvactor of Central City and Sherri Burden of Hawesville; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bobby Huff of Greenville, James Huff of Greenville, Jerry Huff of Illinois and Orville Ray Huff of Gary, Ind., and six sisters, Louise Webb of Louisville, Betty Pirtle of Beaver Dam, Ruth Ann Johnson of Brownsville, Tanya Daugherty of Sturgis, Kaye Daugherty of Illinois and Faye Johnson of Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Rev. Clive Bell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Echols General Baptist Church Cemetery in Echols, Ky.
