RevWilliamHolladayRev. William Arthur Holladay, 88, went to be with his Lord , Thursday May 1, 2014. He passed away at Jewish Hospital in Louisville after a short illness.  He was born July 1, 1925, in Bullittsburg, Ky., son of the late Henry Mark and Mayree Campbell Holladay.

Bill was a retired Baptist minister and had pastored Chevy Chase Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky., Centertown Baptist Church, East Hartford Baptist Church, Adaburg Baptist Church and Cool Springs Baptist Church all in Ohio County. He graduated from Georgetown College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. 

Brother Holladay had a passion for life, his family and God.  He loved farming, the Cincinnati Reds, hunting, UK basketball and playing caroms.

He was preceded in death by his wives Lucille Chilton Holladay and June Ashby Holladay.

Survivors include his wife Janita Bennett Holladay; four daughters Micheline Lucille Queen (David), Marcy Fran Holladay, Ann Chilton Holladay Nance (Rick) and Sue Ellen Holladay; grandchildren Mark David Queen (Joan), Vlad Nesterov (Kathy), Jessika Chilton Chinn (Jason), Jenny Queen(Michael Taylor), Zachariah Holladay Nance, William Phillip Timbrook, John Chilton Button (Ashley), Amanda Stevens (Tyler), Arthur David Leach and William David Button; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Elena, Max, Lennon, Sam, Simon, Quincy, Preston and Charlie; great-great-grandchildren Isaiah and Maggie Chilton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, at 3 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Larry Embry officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
