Hazel Stevens, 97, of Beulah, Mich., passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich. She was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Urey and Amanda Wade Rowe.
Hazel attended Fresh Wind Christian Community Church in Honor, Mich.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Owen Stevens, who passed away, Dec. 29, 1976, and her son Timothy Owen Stevens who passed away on March 16, 1967.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd (Jan) Stevens of Benzonia, Mich.; three daughters, Kaye (Bob) Hess of Denver, Colo., Faye (David) Salyer of Beulah, Mich., and Marilyn (Raymond) Irvine of Westland, Mich.; two brothers, Wade Rowe of Beaver Dam and James Rowe of Louisville, and one sister, Verna Vanderwall of Traverse City, Mich. Hazel was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
