JohnPaulCraigJohn Paul Craig, Sr., 64, of Olaton, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his home.  He was born in Yuma, Ariz., to the late Gloria Fitzpatrick and John H. Craig.

He was retired from Phillip Morris in Louisville, Ky., where he had worked for over 30 years. While he was at Phillip Morris he was very active in the BCT Union (Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Union) he also served as a Chief Union Steward and he was a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Craig.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Craig Simmons; a son, John Craig; his companion, Brenda Miller; two sisters, Gloria Craig Griffin and Nancy Fitzpatrick (Jerry)  Shepard; a brother, Donald R. (Helena) Craig; a stepdaughter Angela (Jim)  Hamilton; five grandchildren, Hunter and  Hailey Craig, Sammy Simmons, Olivia and Noah Hamilton.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Craig Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
