PatriciaHatfieldPatricia Ann Hatfield, 76, entered Heaven’s gates on April 9, 2014. She was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Ed and Mary Lewis.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Patricia was selfless in her dedication and unconditional love for her family. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, cooking, decorating, spending time with family and friends and shopping. Her friends and family could always count on her wit and sense of humor.

Patricia retired from Texas Gas as an executive secretary. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church and had an unwavering faith in God. Over the years she was very involved with teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.

Aside from her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Woodrow “George” Hatfield.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Horn and her husband Kevin; her son, Eddie Hatfield and his wife Becky, all from Owensboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christina Morris, Jennifer Hicks, Austin Rutledge, Jared Hatfield, Kyle Hatfield, and Laura Hayden; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jo Hunter of Dayton, Ohio

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Haley McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Richland Cemetery, McLean County.

The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. the day of the funeral.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Ky., 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, Ky. 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
