Clifton Morris, 89, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born June 4, 1924, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Brady and Vernie Bishop Morris.
He was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Renfrow Community of Ohio County and he was an auto body repairman for Weedman Ford Motor Company in Beaver Dam.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gaynell Johnson Morris, of who passed away May 13, 2000, and two sisters, Dessie Day and Megaline Smith.
Surivors include two sons, Roger Morris and Bridgett (Bonita) Morris both of Morgantown; two daughters, Elaine (Jerry) Farris of Beaver Dam and Cherrie (Paul) Jones of Owensboro. Clifton was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jeremy Farris, Winter Taber, Cliff Morris, Becky West, Risa Gilliam, Summer Morris and Nicolas Morris, and seven great-grandchildren, Gunnar Farris, Madelynn Farris, Lilly Taber, Landon Taber, Michael Taber, Austin West, and Matthew West.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Joe Van Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
