Edward Lewis Harris, 73, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Edward and Ova Leach Harris.
He was a member of Slaty Creek Baptist Church and retired from Young Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Mildred Phelps Harris of Beaver Dam and one son, Jason Harris of Beaver Dam. Edward Lewis was blessed with two grandchildren, Wyatt Lewis of Beaver Dam and Gracie Clark of McHenry.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Pete Leach and Rev. Steve Sorrels officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
