Roy Glen Douglas, 74, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Ohio County to the late Gilbert and Cora Douglas.
He was a minister, serving New Panther Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, reading the Bible and telling stories.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Douglas; sons, Glen Douglas (Pam), Bobby R. Douglas, and Carl D. Douglas all of Owensboro and Jason Cline of Jasper, Ind.; daughters, Deborah L. Knight (David), Vivian Proctor, Robin Clark (Mike) and Jenny Cline all of Owensboro; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandra Bradley (Jerry) of Owensboro.
Services are 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and after 12 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
