Caroline Jo Raines, 72, of McHenry, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Ohio County to the late Herbert C. and Irene Bishop Minton Hobdy.
She was a member of McHenry Baptist Church and retired from Sumitomo in Morgantown.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Raines, who passed away, Dec. 24, 1996; one sister, Nancy Raley and two brothers, Roy Lynn Hobdy and Johnny Hobdy.
Survivors include two sons, James (Teena) Raines and Greg Raines both of McHenry; two daughters, Jamie Spencer and Charlena Shreve both of Beaver Dam; three brothers, Jackie (Joan) Hobdy and Jimmy (Barbara) Hobdy both of Beaver Dam and Bobby (Cathy) Hobdy of Hartford; one sister, Dana (Bob) Warhurst of Illinois. Caroline was blessed with two grandchildren, Jacob Neighbors and Emily Kidd. Several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Recie Young officiating. Burial will be in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
