Juanita Rogers, 83, of Hartford, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Oil Springs, Ky., to the late Dewey and Ollie Hall Oaks.
She was a member of Longview General Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Rogers; her daughter, Norma Jean Rogers; two sons, James Rogers and Timothy Rogers, and one granddaughter, Carey Rice.
Survivors include her son, Russell (Donna) Rogers of Beaver Dam; her daughter, Barbara (Charlie) Rice of McHenry; four brothers, Raymond Oaks of Hartford, Verlon Oaks of Morgantown, Ky., Roy Oaks of Morgantown, and Vernon Oaks of Morgantown; one sister, Ruth Havens of Hartford. Mrs. Rogers was blessed with two grandchildren Summer Rice of Nashville, Tenn., and Billy (Jackie) Rogers of Beaver Dam and one great-grandchild, MacKenzie Rogers of Beaver Dam.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
