Donald Paul O’Brien, 66, of Rockport, Ky., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Rockport, Ky., to the late Clarence and Ruby L. Brown O’Brien.
He was a laborer at Big Rivers near Centertown and of the Baptist Religion.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Wendell O’Brien, Dale O’Brien, Thomas O’Brien, and Billy O’Brien.
Survivors include three brothers, Harold O’Brien of Rockport, Ky., Larry Neil O’Brien of Cosby, Tenn., and John O’Brien of Hartford; four sisters, Doris Salmon of Louisville, Ky., Aileen Maugherman of Ellenton, Fla., Jane Rhule of Ingleside, Texas, and Sue Fulkerson of Central City, Ky. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
