A. C. Pirtle, 88, of Beaver Dam passed away Saturday March 1, 2014, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Beaver Dam to the late Clarence and Lillie Stevens Pirtle.
He was a farmer, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Virginia Render Pirtle; a sister, Maggie Maden, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Rob Stout officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Church Cemetery near Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time on Thursday.
