Jenna H. Smith, 77, of Hartford, Ky., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. She was born February 16, 1937, in Hartford to the late Jack Henry and Jenadee Bibb Henry.
Mrs. Smith retired from PBI Bank, was a faithful member of Hartford Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class, a volunteer for the Ohio County Hospital Auxillary, Ohio County AARP Aging Committee and was a Kentucky Colonel. She also enjoyed playing bunko, church activities, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Henry and two sisters, Nancy Ruth Henry and Martha Jean Henry.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Franklin D. Smith of Hartford; one son, David Smith (Tonya) of Bowling Green; one daughter, Martha Raymond (Dwight) of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Shawna Nally (Matt), Megan Raymond Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Paige Brandon and Raydan Henderson; one sister-in-law, Glenda Henry and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. Ed Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Ky.
