Anna “Louise” Kauffeld Daniel, 78, of Fordsville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Professional Care & Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born Nov. 14, 1935, in Daviess County, Ky., to the late Edwin S. Kauffeld and Mary Jane Montgomery Kauffeld.
Mrs. Daniel retired from McLaugin Golf Ball Factory in Crown Point, Ind., was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordsville, a Kentucky Colonel, a 1954 graduate of Hartford High School, a two year key punch college course graduate and enjoyed working with ceramics and playing bunco.
Survivors include, her husband of 54 years, Henry D. Daniel of Fordsville; two sons, Jeffery Scott Daniel of Pelican Rapids, Minn., and Allen Henry Daniel (Dawn) of Hebron, Ind.; one daughter, Sharon Daniel Goodman (Dr. Patrick Goodman) of Grand Forks, N.D.; three brothers, George Kauffeld of Elizabethtown, Ky., Jim Kauffeld (Martha Jean) of Sargo, Ky., Leo Kauffeld (Jo Ann) of Olaton, Ky.; one sister, Mary Ann Grant of Louisville, Ky., seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Kentucky with Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Ky. Prayer will be at 5 p.m. Sunday.
