Betty Jean Lynch, 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 31, 1935, in Louisville, Ky., to the late Hurl and Prudie Morris Embry.
She was a member of East Fairview Baptist Church in Horse Branch and retired school bus driver for the Ohio County School System.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Raymond; two brothers, Willard Embry and Clodis Embry and one sister, Elewese Embry.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (Shelly) Daugherty of Cromwell and Jay Raymond of Cromwell; her companion, Marshall T. Geary of Cromwell. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Conner Raymond, Katie Raymond, Travis Daugherty, Kelly (Chris) Woolen, Justin (Cheyanne) Mattingly, Cory (Jordan) Mattingly, and Brittany (Allen) Hawes, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Glen Geary and Rev. Larry Embry. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
