Imogene H. Carter, 94, of Centertown died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Professional Care Health and Rehab in Hartford. She was born in Ohio County to the late Theodore and Ruth Bell Hill.
She was a member of West Point Baptist Church and was very active in the GA’s, and in the Ohio County WMU Association and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Walton Carter and her son Christopher Worth Carter.
Survivors include a son, Rick Carter of Rockfield, Ky.; a daughter, Myrna (Beau) West of Leesburg, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mark Carter, Dewayne Carter, Melinda Seaton and Christy Ewing; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at West Point Baptist Church with Bro. George Darnell officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery near Centertown. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and from 10 a.m. until funeral time on Wednesday at the church.
