Virginia Lee Havener, 67, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at The Heartford House. She was born on Jan. 14, 1947, in Daviess County, Ky., to the late George and Pauline Casebeir Brumley.
She was a retired seismographer after 30 years.
She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, playing cards and bingo.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Havener (2004) and a sister, Geraldene Correia.
She is survived by her son, Warren (Geraldine) Havener of Owensboro; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Leeanne) Brumley of California, Ron (Katherine) Brumley of Missouri, and one sister, Winona (Steve) Weikel of Ohio County.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
