Bobby E. Delaney, 83, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born May 19, 1930, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Bennett and Eula Bartlett Delaney.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the United Methodist Church in Madisonville, and worked in construction and in the coal mines.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Delaney and sister, Fay Thienes.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Brown Delaney; one daughter, Sarah Beth Delaney of St. Paul, Minn., and one sister, Janie Parker of Kentucky.
Private funeral service will be held Thursday at William L. Danks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
