Gary M. “Buddy” Spencer, 56, of 114 McMurty Avenue; Hartford, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Gary Miller Spencer was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Daviess County, Ky., to Darrell Eugene and Doris Kay Dickerson Spencer, and was better known as “Buddy” by both his family and friends.
Buddy was a member of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed music, and visits from his family.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Spencer; by his step father, Oscar Hillard; and by a brother, Darrell Spencer, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Hillard of Livermore; a brother, Larry Spencer of Beaver Dam; a sister, Kim Peveler of Bremen; a niece and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Buddy’s family from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday at Musters in Livermore.
