Georgia W. Stewart, 89, of Hammond, Ind., passed away on Nov. 10, 2013. She was born Nov. 16, 1923, to the late Roy James and Grace Anna Shultz Williams in Rob Roy, Ky.
Georgia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hammond, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and retired Federal employee of the Social Security Administration.
She was preceded in death by husband, Theron Stewart in 2006.
Survivors include her son, James T. Stewart of Elmhurst, Ill.; daughter, Christine (Tim) Sherratt of Rowley, Mass.; four grandchildren, Abigail (Joel) Rietema, Hilary, Samuel, and Joseph; one great-grandson, Brandt Timothy and one niece, Pamela Gray of California.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Ernie Carmicle officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Deacon Fund of her church, or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
