Dr. Norman L. Barrow, 88, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Ky., on Feb. 26, 1925.
Dr. Barrow was graduated from University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he later was a Professor of Dentistry. He was a member of the New Assembly Church in Hartford. Dr. Barrow served his country in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Ohio County American Legion Post 55, was a member of the Pfc. Wesley Phelps Ohio County Honor Guard, a member of the Ohio County DAV and a member of the Right To Life Ohio County.
Survivors include his wife Mae Watson Barrow, two step-sons Mike Stringfield and Don Stringfield.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Lelin Geary officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at noon (C.S.T.) in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Ky.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 p.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
The Pfc. Wesley Phelps Ohio County Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home Monday.
