Darrell Matheney “D-2”, 48, of Beaver Dam died Sept. 24, 2013, at his home. He was born in Greenville, Ky., and he was a laborer at Young’s Manufacturing in Beaver Dam.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Matheney, and a brother, Dennis Matheney.
Survivors include his wife, Cassandra Harvey Matheney; his mother, Dana Matheney; one son, Alexander Stephens of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Joshlyn Hill of Greenville, Jamie Hill of White Plains, Danielle Stephens of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Kendall Matheney of Greenville and Jeff (Amy) Matheney of Greenville; one sister, Celesta (Larry) Lyle and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 5 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 301 Center Street, Central City, Ky. 42330. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Darrell Matheney Memorial Fund.
