FrankHodgesJrFrank Hodges, Jr., 79, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born in the Kenver Community of Harlan County, Ky., on Nov. 17, 1933.  Frank was the son of the late Frank and Maude Robinson Hodges.

Frank was a Journeyman tool and die maker.  He worked at G.E. Aviation in Madisonville, Chrysler in Detroit, Mich., and Peabody Coal Central Shop in Centertown.  He was a member of United Mine Workers Union Local 1919.

Frank had three things that he loved.  He loved God first, he loved his family and his work.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; two sons, Frank (Lisa) Hodges of Madisonville and Chuck Hodges of Olaton; two daughters, Tina (David) Casto of Bremen and Tanya (Steve) Wiggins of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara McClure of Virginia, Louise Evans of Louisville and Donna Moncrief of Corbin, Ky.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral.
