Birdia Mae Allen, 68, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at her residence. She was born on June 28, 1945, in Grayson County, Ky.,to Nellie V. Murphy Taylor and the late Joy Cicero Taylor.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hartford Church of God. She was preceded in death by two brothers Eddie Taylor and William B. Taylor.
Survivors one son, David E. Barnes, Jr. of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Rhonda Gale Wickline of Florida and Diana Lynn Calcaterra (Tom) of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Nellie V. Taylor of Beaver Dam; one brother, Jay V. Taylor (Alice) of Marion, Ind., and one sister-in-law, Brenda Taylor of Beaver Dam.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Swift officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Tuesday at the funeral home.
