Philip Gene Goff, 74, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his home. He was born May 16, 1939, in Ohio County to the late Eugene and Prosha Simpson Goff.
He was a member of Friendship Church of Christ and attended Beaver Dam Church of Christ. He was a retired coal miner from Ken Underground #4 and was a member of McHenry Masonic Lodge 800 F&AM.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ritchy Goff, his brother, Audrey Goff and his sister, Shirley Caddell.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judy Maiden Goff of Hartford; two sons, Phillip Goff Jr. of Cromwell and Christopher (Evette) Goff of Utica; one sister, Evelyn Vandiver of Cecilia, Ky., and eight grandchildren, Christopher Lee Goff, Clayton Lee Goff, Emily Goff, Sara Goff, Amanda Goff, Richard Goff, Christina Goff and Kathleen Goff.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Mr. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Green River Cemetery in Cromwell. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
