Wanda Rowe Tate, 76, of Hartford, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1937, in Beaver Dam to the late Halley Floyd and Vitula Ann Blanchard Rowe.
She was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church near Centertown and she was a homemaker.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin L. Tate, who passed away, Sept. 17, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Seaton and Loretta Groves and one brother, Willis Rowe.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Ray Ransom of Nebo and William Lee Ransom of Owensboro and one daughter, Mechelle Charlene Davis of Beech Grove. Wanda was blessed with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Wanda Rowe Tate will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 27, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Jerry Critchelow officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the Funeral Home.
