Ernestine Taylor Render, 88, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at her home. She was born to the late Tilden Taylor and Tryphena Lindley Taylor on Jan. 29, 1925, in Centertown, Ky.
Mrs. Render had lived in Hartford for 50 years and was a member of Hartford Baptist Church where she had not missed Sunday School in 22 years and was a member of Fort Hartford Woman’s Club. She retired as the cleaning lady for doctors’ offices in Owensboro, Ky., and as the former manager of W&H Laundromat in Hartford, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Graham Render on Oct. 29, 1979; one sister, Alma Tichenor; one nephew, Curtis Tichenor and one great-nephew, Neal Tichenor.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Render Hendricks and her husband, Eddie, of Hartford; one granddaughter, Katie Hendricks Childers and her husband, Ryan, of Hartford; two nephews, Bernard Tichenor and his wife, Joan, of Louisville and Darrel Tichenor and his wife, Frances, of Hartford; one niece, Kim Tichenor of St. Louis, Mo., and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Hartford Baptist Church with Pastor David Bullock, Bro. Ed Mitchell, Rev. Wesley O. Hanson and Bro. Mikey Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
