Elizabeth A. Belva, 87, of Hartford, surrounded by her children was received into the arms of her Lord on May 31, 2013. She was born March 1, 1926, in Winchester, Ky., to the late John and Elizabeth A. Touhey Baskett.
She was a mother, wife and homemaker that enjoyed watching the Kentucky Wildcats. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis W. Belva and her son John Steven Belva.
Survivors include her three sons; Dr. Louis W. Belva (Sharon) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Joseph P. Belva (Leesa) of Hartford, Mark A. Belva (Debbie) of Murray, Ky.; two sisters, Frances (Gary) Emory of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Margaret Baskett of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Scott) Houghton, Stuart (Elysia) Belva, Keeley Belva, Courtney Belva, Louis W. (Kasey) Belva III, Brian Belva and Joseph P. Belva II and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Recie Young officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows in McLeansboro, Ill. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to: bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
