Thomas Edward McCreary, 79, of Beaver Dam died Monday May 27, 2013, at his home. He was born in Smiths Grove, Ky., to the late Jack Kingsberry and Lorene Hodge McCreary.
He was retired from Ken Surface Mine where he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of UMWA Local 8941.
He was preceded in death y his wife, Christine Elizabeth Lyons McCreary and a brother Henry K. McCreary.
Survivors include two sons: Doug (Sheila) McCreary of McHenry and James (Ruth) McCreary of Hartford; two daughters: Donna (Jeff) Scott of Centertown and Kathy (Scott) Collard of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Sis. Mary James officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 4:30p.m. until 8p.m. Wednesday and from 9AM until funeral time on Thursday at the funeral home.
