Verblee Lindsey Sapp, 85, of Olaton, died Friday May 10, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Grayson County to the late W.T. and Lydia Bratcher Lindsey.
She was a member of Longview General Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric in Owensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Earl Sapp.
Survivors include two sons, Kenney (Debbie) Sapp of Olaton & Willard (Trisha) Sapp of Hartford; two daughters, Brenda (Eddie) Hohimer of Olaton and Jean (Donnie) Howell of Olaton; eight Grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Longview General Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Olaton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Olaton Cemetery-envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
