Wilda Jean Crowe Baird, 88, of Hartford, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Professional Care Health & Rehab Center. She was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Ohio County to the late James Franklin Crowe and Gertrude Pirtle Crowe.
Mrs. Baird retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation Cabinet Toll Facilities as a Toll Booth Operator and was a member of No Creek Homemakers and No Creek United Methodist Church in Hartford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tullis O. Baird on July 16, 2003, and a sister, Mary Ling.
Survivors include one son, Dennis O. Baird and his wife Sherry DeVasher of Cottontown, Tenn.; one daughter, Barbara Jean Ling and her husband Bill of Philpot; three grandchildren, Miranda Cook and her husband Arthur, Travis Baird and Christopher Baird and his wife Mary Ann and one brother, James R. Crowe of Owensboro.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Tony St. Clair officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
