Dakota J. “D.J.” Felty, 22, of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. He was born Nov. 3, 1990, in Owensboro to Marty Stephen Felty and Angela Williams.
He was a member of Old Decker General Baptist Church in Butler County and worked as a Laborer for Local Union 1392. He graduated from Ohio County High School in 2009.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Randall Williams and his paternal grandmother, Patricia Felty.
Survivors include his parents, Marty Felty of Hartford and Angela Williams of Horse Branch; two brothers, Colten Sublett of Horse Branch and Derek Felty of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Brittney Felty of Beaver Dam; his companion, Janie Murphy of Beaver Dam; three step-children, Emily Jane-Marie Geary, Ethan DeWayne Murphy and Nathanial Dale Murphy; maternal grandmother, Patricia Williams of Morgantown; paternal grandfather, Gary Felty of Hartford and maternal great-grandmother, Dora Williams of Centertown.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lacefield officiating. Burial will be in Walton Creek Cemetery in Centertown. Visitation will be from 4p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
