Linda Gayle Probus Nelson, 49, of Beaver Dam, went to be with her Lord Friday, April 12, 2013, at her home. She was born in Hartford on Nov. 25, 1963, daughter of the late Denver E. Probus and Pauline Renfrow Probus .
She was preceded in death by her father and her daughter Lauren Elizabeth Nelson.
Linda was a member of Green River Baptist Church, a graduate of Western Kentucky University , was a registered nurse at Ohio County Hospital and had worked as a volunteer at Sugar Grove Christian Academy for several years. Her passion in life was helping others and showing them God’s love.
Linda is survived by her husband Keith L. Nelson of Beaver Dam; one son, Enoch Matthew Nelson of Beaver Dam, one daughter, Tiffany Lynn (Matthew) Deweese of Beaver Dam, one stepdaughter, Winona (Todd) Cleveland of Beaver Dam; her mother, Pauline Renfrow Probus of Horse Branch; three sisters, Debby Bryant of Cromwell, Ann Probus of Horse Branch, Renee Martin of Beaver Dam and five grandchildren, Abigayle, Whitney, Caitlynn, Kayli and Mati.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Green River Baptist Church, near Cromwell, with Brothers Kelley Harris and Eddie Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and Monday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Green River Baptist Church.
