KennethHulseyKenneth William Hulsey, 73, of Hartford, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on Sept. 8, 1939, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late Leonard and Margaret Lampson Hulsey.

Kenneth worked as a butcher, a lineman, and as an electrician for Peabody Coal Company for approximately 35 years. He led a quiet but exceptional life. He was the true epitome of strength and character and he touched many lives by his kindness and generosity.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Fay Hulsey and four brothers, Charles Hulsey, Leon Hulsey, Billy Hulsey, and Don Hulsey.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Barbara Turner Hulsey; three children, Carolyn (Don) Rowan of San Antonio, Tex., Teresa (Jeff) Rowland of Beaver Dam, and Kenny (Heidi) Hulsey of Hartford; four siblings, Miron (Mary) Hulsey of Madisonville, Reba Nelson of Princeton, Davern (Beverly) Hulsey and Dwight Hulsey both of Dawson Spring. Kenneth was blessed with seven grandchildren, Justin Rowan, Jamie Rowan, Jenny Rowan, Zack Rowland, Jake Rowland, Autumn Hulsey, and Austin Hulsey and one great granddaughter, Camryn Rowan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Sis. Mary Doepel and Sis. Betty Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. There will be no visitation.
